A 23-year-old French graduate has shared her struggles with life after education, revealing a deeply personal journey marked by academic challenges and emotional turmoil. After finally receiving her degree, she has found herself overwhelmed by rejection from a master’s program, pressure from her family, and fear of leaving her boyfriend behind.

“In my youth, I never envisioned a future beyond 18,” she wrote in a post that resonated with many online. “I thought I would just disappear.” These thoughts cast a long shadow over her teenage years, shaping her perspectives and ambitions. Despite finally completing her studies, she feels like she is at a crossroads with no clear direction.
Now, with her diploma in hand, she applied for a master’s program but received a rejection. This setback compounded the pressure she feels from her parents, who have high expectations for her future. “My mother wants me to pursue a master’s and work for a company,” she explained. “But I don’t have a portfolio or any real experience.” The looming expectations from her family have only intensified her feelings of inadequacy.
