Masters of the Universe fans within driving distance of Kentucky have a genuinely good reason to clear their weekend. MOTUFest 2026 runs September 12 and 13 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, and the headline draw is a Mondo-exclusive 1:12 scale 200X Anti-Eternia He-Man figure priced at $115, limited to two per order.
The show, presented by Power-Con, runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend passes cost $60 online, single-day tickets run $40 both online and at the door, and kids 12 and under get in free with a paying adult, up to two children per ticket. According to Toy Habits’ event breakdown, collectors who miss the convention floor won’t be entirely out of luck: BigBadToyStore is expected to carry additional copies of the Anti-Eternia He-Man figure afterward for $149.99, still capped at two per customer.
The Mondo exclusive isn’t the only reason to make the trip. He-Man.org’s coverage of the figure’s reveal confirms the 200X-style sculpt puts a modern collector spin on a corner of the Eternia mythos that rarely gets figure treatment. The convention floor will also host Barbarossa Customs, Four Horsemen Studios, and Mondo, alongside a guest roster that includes voice actor Brian Dobson, Filmation-era writer Jack Olesker, sculptor Nate Baertsch, comic artist Reilly Brown, storyboard artist Rob Lamb, and comic creator Tim Seeley.
That mix of eras is part of what makes MOTUFest stand out from a typical toy show. Olesker’s writing credits stretch back to the original Filmation cartoon that introduced most fans to He-Man in the first place, which means attendees can spend an afternoon talking with the person who helped shape the 1980s mythology before turning around and buying a brand-new sculpt built for 2026 shelves. Toyark’s early preview of the figure noted the level of detail Mondo packed into the Anti-Eternia design, which has helped fuel interest in the exclusive ahead of the show.
For anyone who has been meaning to make the drive to a Masters of the Universe convention, this weekend offers a rare combination: a genuinely limited exclusive, a lineup of guests spanning four decades of the franchise, and a price tag that, by modern collectible standards, is almost reasonable. Between the figure, the guest list, and the exhibitor floor, MOTUFest 2026 has built a genuinely compelling case for a Kentucky road trip on short notice.
Souvenir merchandise rounds out the floor as well, with event-themed t-shirts referencing past Power-Con shows running $30 to $35 and a handful of show-exclusive pins and logo shirts available only in person. None of it upstages the Anti-Eternia figure, but it adds up to the kind of weekend where showing up in person clearly gets you more than just a photo with a familiar face. For a franchise built on nostalgia, MOTUFest 2026 seems intent on giving longtime fans plenty of new reasons to actually leave the house for it.
