Several Named TikTok Collectors With Real Public Businesses Are Turning Vintage Cartier and Rolex Watches Into a Legitimate Industry Right Now

Mike Nouveau has built an audience of more than 315,000 followers on Instagram by filming himself buying decades-old Cartier, Rolex and Patek Philippe watches out of jewelry counters from Chinatown to Madrid, and he is one of several creators who have turned vintage watch hunting into an actual full-time business, according to the New York Times.

Nouveau posts almost daily from his verified Instagram account, where his bio reads “Vintage Watch Specialist” and points followers to a companion app, Pushers, listing his current inventory. His clips are simple: he walks into a shop, handles a watch on camera and narrates the deal in real time. One recent reel, filmed at a counter in New York’s Chinatown, shows exactly that kind of transaction playing out.

Two more names, two different corners of the market

Julia Azer works the vintage counters of Manhattan’s 47th Street Diamond District, specializing in Audemars Piguet and Rolex resales to a customer base skewing 45 to 65 years old, according to Robb Report’s reporting on the creators reshaping the watch trade. Tyler Mikorski works for Vookum, a New Jersey luxury watch and jewelry retailer whose verified Instagram account has passed 618,000 followers with a bio billing the operation as the “#1 Live Seller On The Internet.”

None of these are side hustles anymore. Nouveau’s posts range from personal collection tours to on-the-spot hauls, and one recent caption on a watch-buying trip read simply, “I just got a nice haul of vintage watches,” tagged with Patek Philippe, Cartier and Breguet. Azer negotiates six-figure pieces on camera. Mikorski’s employer built an entire live-selling operation around the format.

What’s actually driving the audience

The shift tracks a broader move by younger buyers toward pre-owned and vintage pieces they can watch get authenticated in real time, rather than trusting a boutique display case. Nouveau’s own videos, most running 60 to 120 seconds, regularly draw well over 100,000 views apiece, with several individual posts topping 400,000. That kind of reach, applied consistently to actual inventory, is what has turned watch content into a functioning sales channel rather than a hobbyist’s diary.
