Phil Collins, Oasis and Wu-Tang Clan headline an 18-artist Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class for 2026, one of the most genre-spanning induction lineups in the institution’s history. The ceremony is set for November 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Chairman John Sykes called the honor “music’s highest honor” in the organization’s official announcement, adding: “We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year’s ceremony – it’s going to be an unforgettable night.”

This year’s class stretches across five decades and several genres at once. Oasis arrives fresh off a headline-grabbing reunion tour, while Wu-Tang Clan becomes one of the first hip-hop collectives from Staten Island to enter the Hall, following the RZA-led group’s three-decade run reshaping East Coast rap. Iron Maiden’s induction gives NWOBHM-era metal a marquee slot alongside pop and new wave acts Billy Idol and Joy Division/New Order.

Phil Collins enters as a solo artist after already being inducted with Genesis in 2010, joining a small group of performers honored twice. Sade and Luther Vandross round out the performer category with catalogs built on smooth, genre-blurring R&B and soul that dominated radio through the 1980s and ’90s.

The Early Influence and Musical Excellence categories recognize the architects working just off the marquee: salsa icon Celia Cruz, Afrobeat originator Fela Kuti, hip-hop pioneers Queen Latifah and MC Lyte, and country-rock figure Gram Parsons headline the Early Influence honorees, while songwriter Linda Creed, producers Arif Mardin and Jimmy Miller, and hitmaker-turned-mogul Rick Rubin take the Musical Excellence Award. Ed Sullivan, whose variety show introduced American television audiences to The Beatles and countless other acts, receives the Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has inducted new classes annually since 1986, when its inaugural ceremony honored Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and other founding figures of the genre. This year’s ceremony will once again be held on the West Coast, at the Peacock Theater, before the broadcast reaches national audiences on ABC and Disney+ the following month. For fans of any one of the eight performer inductees, the induction is confirmation of what the Hall’s voters have signaled for years: the genre lines that once separated rock, hip-hop, metal and pop increasingly don’t apply to who gets in.
