About Me

I’ve always had a soft spot for the well-loved, the perfectly worn, and the beautifully aged. Welcome to Velvet & Vinyl, where my lifelong love affair with all things vintage finds its home.
My thrifting journey began beside my great-grandma, a woman who could spot a genuine treasure from across a crowded church basement sale. Those Saturday mornings were magical – she’d grip my small hand as we navigated through aisles of forgotten items, teaching me to see beyond the dust. “That’s real crystal,” she’d whisper, or “This chair? They don’t make them like this anymore.”
What started as adventures with Great-Grandma evolved into a passion for hunting down those perfect pieces that tell stories. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of uncovering a mid-century side table for $15 or rescuing a 1970s velvet armchair that just needs a little love.
At Velvet & Vinyl, I share not just my finds, but the knowledge passed down from a woman who knew that style didn’t need to cost a fortune. From spotting authentic vintage fashion to reimagining retro home décor, I’m here to help you navigate the wonderful world of secondhand treasures.
Our Staff
Elizabeth Clark

Elizabeth is Madison’s little sister. She is also a licensed cosmetologist whose artistic vision extends far beyond the salon chair. With skilled hands and an intuitive understanding of personal style, Elizabeth transforms both hair and makeup into expressions of individual beauty.
What truly sets Elizabeth apart is her deep appreciation for fashion that transcends time. Her personal collection of vintage treasures spans decades, carefully curated pieces that tell stories of eras gone by. This passion for historical style informs her modern approach to beauty—where classic techniques meet contemporary trends.
Elizabeth’s clients benefit from her unique perspective, one that understands how a perfectly styled coif complements a 1950s silhouette, or how certain makeup techniques can evoke the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age while feeling utterly fresh.
When she’s not behind the chair or hunting for rare vintage finds, Elizabeth draws inspiration from fashion history, constantly evolving her craft by looking to the past to create something beautifully present.
