A pregnant bridesmaid claims her experience at her friend’s bachelorette party was a series of unfortunate events, culminating in sleeping on a couch infested with ants and being unexpectedly charged $50 for groceries. The chaotic weekend began as a fun getaway but quickly turned into a saga of mishaps that left her feeling isolated and frustrated.

The woman, who shared her story anonymously online, described how she reluctantly joined the bachelorette festivities for her friend, whom she refers to as Gina. Despite her pregnancy making her feel sick and tired, she wanted to support Gina during this exciting time. The group had planned a bachelorette weekend complete with an Airbnb stay, a nice dinner, a beach outing, and a spa visit.

Upon arrival at the Airbnb, however, things took a turn for the worse. The sleeping arrangements were poorly planned, and without consulting her, the other bridesmaids allocated the beds, leaving the pregnant woman to sleep on a couch. She managed to find a thin blanket in the Airbnb, but that was little comfort as she battled dizziness and fatigue.

The following night, as she tried to get some rest, she noticed ants crawling on the throw pillows beside her. It was an unsettling experience, and as the night wore on, she discovered more and more ants invading her space. Stuck at the rental without transportation, she felt trapped, her discomfort compounded by her pregnancy symptoms.

Breakfast the next morning was another disappointment. The group had gone grocery shopping without informing her, and while they prepared a lavish spread, she could only stomach a single bite of dry pancake, which left her feeling nauseous. When the bill for the extravagant groceries came to $200 and she was asked to chip in $50, she felt frustrated and taken aback. She explained to one of the other bridesmaids that she had hardly eaten any of the food and did not agree to pay for it, but the demands for payment continued.

Meanwhile, at the scheduled spa visit, anxieties grew as one of the other bridesmaids, Kelly, deliberated over a minor toe blister, causing tension and delays that left the pregnant bridesmaid feeling even more anxious. Ultimately, the spa visit was skipped altogether, further complicating her plans to get home as she now had to rely on someone else for transportation.

After the bachelorette weekend concluded, the woman was still reeling from the events, particularly the grocery charge. “I told her honestly I was broke right now and I didn’t really eat any of the food,” she wrote. Despite her protests, she ended up paying the $50, which left a bitter aftertaste to the whole experience.

One reader reacted to the saga, saying, “You were already dealing with so much; they really should have considered your situation.” Another commenter noted how the group didn’t seem to respect her needs as a pregnant woman, emphasizing that being considerate is essential in group settings, especially when one member has special circumstances.

Despite the tumultuous events, the woman expressed her determination to remain supportive of Gina, who she described as a wonderful friend. After the bachelorette party, she decided to skip the wedding rehearsal sleepover out of fear of a repeat of the bachelorette chaos.

The bride was understanding, and the woman felt relieved to opt out of what could have been another awkward night. As her pregnancy progressed, she further distanced herself from the complexities involving the other bridesmaids, especially Maude, who had caused additional stress in their workplace.

Though the wedding day went smoothly, and she was able to celebrate her friend’s happiness, the ordeal of the bachelorette party lingered in her mind, creating a lasting impression of discomfort and disconnection during what should have been a joyous occasion.
