A delivery driver for a construction company recently sparked chaos in a busy city street by parking his truck in the only driving lane. As he made his delivery, a bus and numerous cars became trapped in a frustrating traffic jam during rush hour.

Witnesses reported that the bus driver, along with frustrated residents, shouted at the driver, telling him he could not block the road. The delivery driver insisted he was permitted to park there since he was making a delivery, ignoring the growing frustration around him.

One bus rider, who had a front-row seat to the chaos, decided to take matters into his own hands. After getting the name of the company, truck ID, and license number, he initially thought about calling the company to lodge a complaint. However, he anticipated that nothing would come of it. Instead, he hatched a plan that would expose the delivery driver’s arrogance.

In a twist of creativity, the bus rider placed a call to the company headquarters, adopting the voice of an elderly man. He told the company he had found a significant amount of cash that the driver had supposedly dropped during his delivery. Intrigued by the potential for lost money, the company helped arrange a call between the rider and the driver to set up a meeting.

Once the driver was on the line and seemingly grateful for the supposed money, they arranged to meet at a recreational center just a short distance away. The rider wanted to witness the fallout of his ruse firsthand. He texted the driver the location and then kept him waiting.

When the driver arrived, he immediately got out of his car and lit a cigarette as he waited. As the minutes ticked by, he likely daydreamed about how he might spend the nonexistent $1,800. Instead of arriving to collect the cash, the bus rider took his time, texting excuses about picking up a prescription and apologizing for the delay.

After 25 minutes of waiting, tensions began to rise. The driver, now visibly irritated, walked into the rec center, and the rider seized the moment to escalate the prank. He sent a series of texts claiming he was inside but unable to meet him. Frustrated, the driver returned to his car, where he received a call from the bus rider who finally revealed the truth in his real voice.

“Sorry man, I know waiting sucks,” the rider said. “Remember that delivery you made on ____ Street on Monday? Well, I was on the bus that had to wait for you. Now you just waited for cash that was never real, and by the way, I’m watching you from my house right now.” The driver turned bright red, realizing he had been outsmarted.

Following this encounter, the driver bombarded the rider with calls and texts filled with threats directed at the burner phone the rider had set up specifically for the prank. The bus rider, however, did not reply. Instead, he continued his playful harassment, calling from various numbers to remind the driver not to block city streets and to express hope that he didn’t need the imaginary cash.

The story quickly became a topic of conversation among online communities, where reactions ranged from amusement to disbelief. One person told him, “You really got him good! He deserved every minute of that wait.” Another reader said, “I can’t believe he fell for it. That’s some master-level petty revenge.” The rider’s actions resonated with those who have experienced similar frustrations in city traffic.

This incident raises questions about patience, responsibility, and the unexpected consequences of one’s actions. The delivery driver likely did not anticipate being tricked in such a public manner, nor did he foresee the effect his parking would have on others. The bus rider, in his quest for a bit of light-hearted revenge, crafted a perfect scenario to highlight the consequences of the driver’s lack of consideration.

While the delivery driver may not have learned his lesson, the bus rider’s prank served as a momentary satisfaction, bringing laughter to those who witnessed the unfolding drama. The incident showcases the lengths to which some individuals will go when they feel wronged, and it leaves an interesting question for anyone who has had a similar encounter: how far would you go to get back at someone who impedes your daily life?
